$50 for the pole 'n mount. Maybe $75... :)
$0 for that awful dish.
Bolt a nice 10 foot perf onto it, and rule the sky! ;)

Members who've tried the Spoon, have returned negative results.
Phlatwound couldn't get his to track.
He and a number of us brainstormed and put forth theories.
Nothing made sense.
If he couldn't make it work, I say run, don't walk, ... away. :(

Of course, I hope Phlatwound posts here.
His will be the final word. ;)

That being the case, what do you think ever possessed Birdview to produce such a turkey ?

If I find one nearby for low cost I might feel sorry for it and bring it home as a fixed dish because of its futuristic appearance. I mean if I owned a jetpack I'd want a Spoon in my yard to go with it, wouldn't I ? So doesn't it follow that if I can own a Spoon, I'll have no choice but to buy me a jetpack ?

Hello, George Jetson

Is there even a motor in that Spoon mount?
I see the cover is missing, but couldn't tell if the guts were there.
Unless it's a functioning H-H, I wouldn't look at as anything more than spare parts.

I've already been high on that dish.
Almost went 'n got one.
But now I've sobered up and gotten over it.
There are just too many other good solutions, that work as-is. :up

I still like mine enough to have recently given it a fresh coat of paint, but at best, right now, it is a cool-looking piece of semi-functional (az-el fixed) yard art. Was able to track about 20 degrees each side of apex when I turned it 90 degrees (in "typical" offset dish position).

Just noticed that the one just posted, and the one on the old magazine cover pic I have saved, are both mounted 180 degrees opposite of mine (I put it up the same way I found it). Hmmmm...
