Hi Everyone. new to the forum.

Just got my DTV with Tivo DVR from http://www.free-directv-satellite-service.com but would like to add some more space for recording shows. I have it set up for seasons pass on a good number of shows, and just figured out (after about 2 months) how to keep the programs so they don't get deleted. The problem is, I am fast running out of space as well on the built in HDD, and I have read on many forums that you can upgrade your tivo to 80 gig or even 120 gig Hard disk space, and this is what I am looking to do.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this myself? I am pretty capable at taking things apart and putting them back together again, but this is something I have not been able to find a good deal of information about.

Your suggestions/thoughts/recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Rather than upgrade your Hard Drive you should look into a DVD burner. With Dishplayers or TiVos storing programms on HD is not a good idea,if the HD fails everything is lost.
