It seems that to properly reset your Joey, it takes a little more that just holding down a power button or unplugging the power.
After about a week of running smoothly my Joey was not getting a any programming on the screen. It showed it was connected and this was verified at the Hopper as well. I have a 2 hopper / 2 Joey set up. Both joeys connected fine to one hopper but neither would get programming from the other. At times, they would not connect at all and kept searching for the Hopper. I tried every way of resetting & unplugging both the Hopper and Joey.
Finally, I called Tech Support. For the Joey, they have me do the following steps:
1. Unplug the power.
2. Disconnect the MOCA cable.
3. Plug power back in and let it start up.
4. Unplug the power again.
5. Reconnect the MOCA cable.
6. Plug the power in and let start up.
I think I may have had to unplug the power one more time after step 6 but it was so much connecting and disconnecting going on I got kind of dizzy.
Works fine now.
Anybody else run into this? Maybe it can help you if you have the same issue.
Oops, I just saw a similar thread with this problem. Sorry to repeat.
