If I had any OTA reception I might want to keep them.
I am in a mobile home park where I am required to pay for Cox Cable TV. Cox required a cable card and a converter box in order to use TiVo. I think I saw Chris Columbus initial scratched on one of the boxes. Almost no one at Cox knew how to deal with the boxes and cards. It was nothing but trouble trying to get TiVo to work with Cox. When it did work it was great. I even bought a 6 TB drive to connect to one of the TiVo boxes. It is still sealed in its original packaging.
Between the government regulations, the providers and the advertisers, just enjoying TV can become difficult .
