I know this was talked about some in other threads, but I thought I'd post a few links for those who may not have seen it. Sad what failure can do to some. Personally, I never was that crazy about the guy at LSU. He had a national chapionship caliber team around him, but didn't have the brains to lead them there.

I doubt that's true. I don't think he even graduated from LSU.

But if I'm mistaken and it is, he didn't translate his book smarts on the field all that often. He made stupid decisions in key games against Florida and Auburn during his college career that cost his team a shot at a title.

From a brief ESPN report about a Bronco WR:

While it is nothing official, I got the indication Tuesday that there will be likely still be interest from the Omaha franchise of the UFL in Russell.

The team owns Russell’s UFL rights and has been trying to convince him to play while he was holding out for an NFL gig.
