I'm fairly new at HD, had the tv about two months, awaiting the arrival of VIP222. I get to watch OTA when I hold my mouth just right.

My OTA antenna is hooked up via rg6. I've noticed on some of the HD programming on ABC, that the picture seems jittery at times. Kinda hard to explain. Scenes with movement looks like jittery or jumpy, almost a strobe effect. Live events like sports or Good morning America are perfect. My tv's response time is supposed to be 8ms.

I'm wondering if this is normal, a tv problem, or a broadcaster issue???
THANKS!

No, it's not normal. Next time that you see it, try power cycling your TV set.

What is power cycling?

I just remembered...when I first bought the set, I had E* SD hooked up via composite and the problem on SD was terrible. I switched it to s-video and the problem went away. Early July my 3 months since purchasing at Wally World is up. Might have to return it before then.

THANKS!

Update

Took my Visco back & refunded...Bought a Visio. Seems like a very good TV so far. The picture lag issue is the same on the Visio, which tells me that channel 45.1 out of Greensboro ABC has their own broadcast issues.

Now this is wierd...The wife wanted to watch a disney movie tonight on ch 45 (the only channel showing it). Tuned in on the Visio tuner, the picture is jittery, BUT, tuned in with the VIP222's tuner, the picture is perfect...GO FIGURE???

The ViP 622 must have a better tuner. You might resolve your issues with a better/more powerful antenna. Is your antenna an outdoor type and if so what kind. Also, how far are you away from the broadcast tower?

TV actually locks on a little better than the 222. The antenna is ancient with a corner reflector. I'm probably close to 100 miles from the tower. Only 20 miles from towers in TN, but the mountain behind my house voids that possibility.
