It's February, is it time to switch?

Testing may never make it.
Considering your response to D* major short comes there is no talking to you.
As far as going form E* to D* goes buyer beware.
For most average people it would a big headache and big expense!!
More IRDs, Rewire house & on & on & on.
So no way can it be cheaper or less headaches!!!
Thanks for this you guys made me look and confirmed I made the right choice.:D

What's the major short comming, just that there is not TV2 feature on their STB's?

So far everything that has been in the CE testing program has made it to the customers, maybe your used to E* saying they'll do one thing and then not do it.

What rewiring needs to be done, I run dual tuner DVR's with OTA using one cable.

Don't want to run cat 5, powerline or wireless adapters work just fine in most places.

Multiple DVR's with only one DVR charge vs. each DVR get's charged at E*.

HD STB lease charges $5 vs $7 at E*.

Channels keep getting ripped out of the programming lineup with no warning.

So maybe E* is cheaper and has the features you want, for me I've tried E* for two years, saw what they do and went back.

I concede.
What you you lack in articulate debate, you make up for in endurance.
I thank you for your insight as I will now be buying Copper Futures since every Directv install needs to rewire their house.

I have listed the HD channels that D* has that I would like to see on E* the last time you made this statement.
Why don't you list the E* HD channels D* is missing.
If D* doesn't have fishing in HD that could be a deal breaker for some, not me.

but your statement wasn't Dish isn't offering this channel or that channel. Your statement was "...I have complained about DISH being frozen in time with their HD offerings..."
I am just pointing out that while their channel offerings may be different, the fact is that in offering national HD channels and HD premiums, there is really no difference in the number of channels despite the cries of some that Direct is "so far ahead" of Dish...

You might confuse them with their own words.:D

There are very POPULAR channels now being offered in HD. Directv adds them. DISH adds HD channels no one knew existed that don't cost them anything just to pad their number. It is a tactic that has obviously worked on you and others.
I contend that since you didn't list E*'s exclusives because they would look weak when listed besides D*'s.
If E* wants to position itself as the place to be for HD premium channels that is fine. I don't think they should be counted however toward the national HD offering as most will never subscribe to them anyway. Just like I HD PPV's shouldn't count either.

and I contend that wasn't what you initially said... I couldn't care less who has what at this point because most "national HD" channels don't have 24/7 HD on them to begin with, and all most anyone wants is not quality of channels but quantity of channels...Hence the plethora of "give me more channels and don't raise my rates" threads on the forums...

Neither premiums nor PPV's are counted in the 69-68/15-19 Direct-Dish HD count...

Though I will concede that both Direct and Dish count them in their totals company wise which I will agree with you shouldn't be the case from either company...
