Is this a DishNetwork problem

I have the timer set to record only the new episodes of "The Daily Show". But on Monday when they rerun previous week's show, or reruns when the show is on vacations, the old shows still get recorded, even though the date is some old date or sometimes just a year (1999).

Is there a way to fix this?

It's been mentioned here before. Apparently, it's an issue with the guide where they're not properly being labeled as reruns. I think the 'fix' would be to do a timed recording rather than a show recording.

I have the same problem when I record "This week in Nascar" and "Nascar Now". on my 722. Been like that for about a year. Strangly the issue is only on espn2 and speed, never any other shows or channels. Anyone else experience this?

I've had it happen on several channels...USA, FX, SciFi.
