Is there a NEWBIE guide?

The reason I ask is i'm new to the E* scene. I had D* for a long time and i'd like to know more about the technology E* uses. I see a lot of reference to switches, different LNBs, dishes, etc....but its like reading spanish. D* is pretty basic with their setups.

Is there a write-up somewhere that explains these things? I'd really like to know exactly what is set up in my home since i'm sure one day i'll want to upgrade.

Also spend some time on the Echostar Knowledge Base. The tables in the Switch Selector show most of the possible combinations. It's a bit much on first look, but follow the links at the bottom for explanations.
