Is there a major difference?

Is there a major difference between HR24/100 and HR24/500? My first DVR was a 500 and the replacement is a 100. They look the same and so far seems all the same. I was just curious.

Thank you. Least the differences don't seem be noticed. So far runs the same and does the same things. That's all I worry about.
