Is the 922 a dead end box?

With release now reportedly delayed till spring / summer and charlies statement its for select customers only.

Has the devlopment time gone on so long the box has been overtaken by Ds multi tuner 8 out high def tv in any room receiver?

I just wonder if its too little too late?

will it ever be in general distribution?

DirecTV does not have a multi tuner 8 output box that was a proof of concept shown at CES.
