Was curious to see if you change your service address and recieve locals that way like DISH? Live in Ottumwa Iowa and am one county away from Des Moines Locals. Currently have DISH but interested in DTV. Thanks.

:welcome to Satelliteguys!

You should have no trouble receiving a strong enough signal for the Des Moines locals.

Wow, thanks for the quick response and nice welcome. My next question is, once having DTV installed, how long would I need to wait before "moving"? I appreciate the help.

Most say a couple of weeks. I've done it within a few hours of install. No issues. That said, I'd advise a few days as well just to be safe, even if I doubt they say anything.

How long after "moving" should you wait before "moving" again? I got Directv one year ago, moved after a couple months, and might just do it again!

You should be fine with that time frame.

you should be fine. I moved 4 times in less than a year (once back home to get HD) ;)

I have moved that many times in two months before. Apparently it is no big deal. There are quite a few markets receivable from my location. Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Asheville, Tri-Cities, TN-VA, and probably some to the north that I've never tried.

I'm getting so irritated with this DirecTV conspiracy! :)
