I've read atleast one thread where someone got a 622 for free instead of the $149 price and I think I may have read it somewhere else, is this something new or just a customer playing csr roulette?

Existing customers with 921 and/or 942 receivers who also subscribe to the VOOM package are eligible for a free lease upgrade to a ViP622. Same for 811 to ViP211 upgrades. The upgrade requires subscribing to DishHD and the usual 18 month programming commitment.

Owned receivers can be kept, but cannot be used or the DIU credit will be reversed.

That's $149 for lease, right? At $149 to buy, I'd be hard pressed not to.

I just got my 622 installed for free back on thursday, i called to ask about the MPEG2 shut down on 8-15, i replaced my 211 and the 811 i had upstairs and just got a 622 for free, worked perfact for us as i have a 53" HDTV downstairs and a 36" SDTV upstairs

Had dish from 03 - 06 then moved out of state and didnt want to do a pole mount and run two lines 200ft through the woods though now I wish I had because I miss my 508 so I closed my account and sent everything back.

New account will go under the wifes name, only way that it will go back under mine is if I go back to work for them wich considering the way the company has went downhill with how it treats its employee's I dont see that happening.

Depending on which account specialist you talk to at Dish Corporate the deals are getting very sweet indeed! I will wait until I see my upgrade deal etched in stone then post it here. All the equipment was installed this week and working flawlessly. Thanks Dish!:D

What kind of deal should I shoot for if I have a leased 622, a leased 311 and own a 211? I'd like to get another leased 622 and sell my 211. My committment ends in November.

Ordered a vip622 today to replace a 522, I already have a 622 which I got last June. I paid $149.00 and will get a $100 rebate and another $50 when I return the 522, monthly bill will increase by $1. :)

This deal is good if you subscribed to HD programming after June 9th, 2006. The last time I checked it was going to cost me $299 to replace the 522 but after the news of the new HD channels next month I decided to check again :D.

I've been a customer with dish for about 9 months now. My bill with the everything package, playboy, super stations, locals, PBS, and what not is around $130 +/-. I went through that crap back in December about loosing distant local stations since I live in Southern DE. I still stayed with them because I got a little "creative" with my address and now I’m getting Phila's locals instead of seeing distant locals from around the country. But as for the new promotion they have at dishracing.com, I am putting my foot down because when I signed up, I didn't get anything special. I filled out the form for the $100 back but did I see that? HECK NO!

I called and signed up a new account a few days ago under my name with my mom's credit info. Tomorrow, I'm getting a VIP 622 DVR and 611 installed for free. Instead of paying GOD knows what to upgrade my original account. Ditching Playboy, PBS, and taking advantage of the new promotion, I'm saving $30 a month and I'm getting HD programming as well! Instead of the old plain SD programming, I finally can put that 62” HD in the living room and 52" HD in the bedroom to good use!

To anyone that has pixelation/dropouts OTA with high SS(622)
