I am in ATL and have two dish 500s to pickup 119, 110, and 61.5. Will E* install a dish 1000 if I upgrade to the 211?

All the NATIONAL HD seems to be mirrored on 129 and 61.5. In Atlanta's case, the question is where will the LIL HD be placed? It would be best to have it on 110, but nobody's said anything about that yet.

I believe they are going to put some of the locals on 129. They should try to keep a lot of HD national content on 110 since the whole nation can see that slot.

Remember, Echo X is planned for 110. And that will have lots of added capability.

Well, I have a dish 500 at 110/119 and a dish 300 at 61.5. This seems to be a proper configuration (if everything is mirrored on 61.5 and 129). However, it will depend on where they put the HD LiLs. If they put my HD LiLs on 129 (Louisville) then I'll either have to put up a dish1000 or put up another d300 pointed at 129 and add a dp44+ switch.

129 is not national though so I think they would be best to put as many locals as they can on 129 and save whatever space they can for national HD for 110 but then again 129 is not a spotbeam satellite so maybe they need to put a spotbeam at 129 to make it more feasible.

I suspect that they will put a lot of the HD LIL on 110 on spot beams from Echostar X. What is left over will probably go on 61.5 and 129 since there is really not any extra space on 110/119 for a bunch of HD LiL.

If they put your HD Lils on 129 then it would be easier/cheaper to point your 61.5 dish at 129. No other equipment is needed.

Myself, on the other hand, have a 105 superdish. My locals are on 105 so I hope the upgrade price includes a DPP44 switch!

Echostar X will not add national capacity at 110.

Actually it will add some capacity but probably not for HD. There are a couple conus transponders being used for locals right now and those will be freed over to spot beams (assuming they use the same tps for spot beams they've been using, but they'll proably be using more

I also have the 2 Dish's pointed at 110/119 and 61.5 (got that Dish when the Voom stuff first came out and were only on 61.5). I get all of my local channels OTA and do not need anything from Dish in that area. Am I set or am I misreading the posts here?

More 942, 622 HD/Recording ?

Speaking of OTA...
