OMG!

Lisa changed that monster tire herself!

I can't change a CAR tire and I'm bigger than her!

She's Wonder Woman for sure!

That was pretty awesome what Rick did for those poor people. :)
I thought for a minute he was about to quit. I'm glad he's still in it, he's a pretty good guy.

The new guy, Dave, I thought he was gonna chicken out and quit on the bridge but he stuck it out.

I still think Lisa is gonna be the one to see it through to the end. The two guys seem like they are having trouble keeping their cool.

This is a really intense show!

:)

You got that right! I had to laugh when Lisa's spotter threw the jack!

Yeah, that was brilliant.. Then he had to go all the way down to get it and back up with that thing. I'll bet it weighed 100lbs ! :haha

When Lisa was on that last stretch of road I was about to faint! I was leaning over in my chair to get away from that edge!

Whew!

tonight on History.

Death Road
History Ch - 4 - Tue, 10/19, 9:00 PM 1 hr
Eng, Travel, History

Marsh Mokhtari travels the Andes bypass, which claims more lives per mile than any other road, exploring the lush scenery that draws passengers to the narrow paths, steep waterfalls and treacherous overhangs of the 2.5 mile mountain byway.

Thanks for the heads up. I set a timer.

As for IRT episode 3, that was a hoot.!.! - :D
One thing I noticed is that they let slip something about "driving this road last week".
Well, are they using a week of driving to make one episode?
I thought one ep was one day.
Or maybe they drive a day or two, then take a week off to do their laundry! -

Best excitement I've seen on TV in a long time. Thanks to Dee for bringing it up! - :up

Yes, I would like to know the story behind the story on this show. But being that it's still airing new episodes each week I'll bet they are keeping a zipped lip till season 1 is over.

I'm watching the Bolivian Death Road thing right now. Actually, I'm recording it.

:)

I would say the Death Road in Bolivia was roughly similar to the road in IRT India.
At least the host drove a standard SUV instead of a big cargo truck! -
On the other hand, watching either show will require a change of underwear! -

Given a choice of driving Bolivia or India, I'd go back to the tropical jungle of my Army days where they occasionally shot at ya.
It was much safer! - ;)

Speaking of underwear, Dave looked like he was having a BM as he drove over that bridge.
Then once over it he commented that he lost 10lbs in the process.
From the expressions on his face, I would have guessed 20lbs..

:D

Did anyone else see all the cameras on the dash?

And Dee ... ssshhhhhhh ... this was filmed probably MONTHS ago, and everyone is now back in the Yukon or up in the wilderness waiting for the big freeze so they can start filming on the ice again (smile)

Photto

I saw the cameras on the dash. A whole gob of them.
I wish they would do a "behind the scenes" show so people can see how they tape these. There must be cameras and camera men all over the place but they manage to hide them so well. Most of the time.

The way they put the cameras over the edge is totally unnerving me. I find a lot of it hard to watch.

Oh, and I know they tape this then edit it and air it later.
I was thinking last night, IF one of the drivers were to actually get killed doing this show there would have been a big stink raised about it, lawsuits by the families and the show would likely never make it to air. Going on that assumption, I assume it's safe to assume that they are all alive and well.

Hopefully..

Oh yeah, that biz where Lisa was acting silly about the driving, like "Oh la la la la, this is nothing, I'm not worried, look Ma no hands!" kind of stuff, that was stupid. That's the sort of attitude that gets people killed doing *anything*, driving cars, riding bicycles, flying airplanes, etc..

I hope Rick's daughter is alright. He's a nice guy. He's a little odd looking and has a potty mouth but he's really a kind hearted good guy.
I like how he stopped and helped those poor people and he stopped and threw some of that blessing candy down the mountain for the people that got killed. He was thinking of them and their families. I hope his daughter will be ok so that he can stay, I like him.

Dave, he's wrapped a little too tight. I don't think he's going to make it. He's too red neck for such a very different place as India. I would be seriously surprised if he makes it all the way to the end.

And Lisa, she's my favorite of course. She's just got to make it all the way through. I'm betting on her.
She just needs to quit acting silly and take that stuff serious. And she needs to clip her hair up out of her eyes!

I found a site that has some stuff about the show, they haven't updated it yet for last night's show though..

Sneak peek at episode 4 of IRT Deadliest Roads airing Oct. 24 « Celebrity Chatta

Deadliest Roads is a scary show but for some reason I can't explain, I'm really drawn to it. :)

I'm gonna miss this week's episode of IRT DR plus my new other favorite, American Restoration.

I get the joy of having someone slice me open and poke around inside me awhile. Oh, and feed the vampires too. They always get a few quarts. :(

Good thing for me, History repeats things a lot so I'll have to catch it later in the week I guess..

I hope Lisa hangs in there to the end, I've got faith in her, she can do it!

TTFN... :wave

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.
You can catch Lisa's appearance on Late Night with David Letterman here in case you missed it. Late Show Video - The Late Show - 10/27/2010 - CBS.com

I'm enjoying American Restoration too.

get well soon

Hope ya come back with all your original parts! -

I edited out and saved the 10 minutes of Lisa on Dave Letterman, in 1080.
She was kinda disappointing...
Dave was his usual self: an ass.

I caught two episodes of American Restoration.
The overall theme is entertaining, but I wish they'd spend more camera time on -doing- the work, and less time recapping what we just saw earlier...

Also checked an episode of Swamp People ('gator hunters).
Won't be watching that again! - :D

Thank you guys! Y'all rock!
I wish I was as half as smart and as capable as you guys..

My surgery went as well as can be expected, I guess. I had a panic attack when the tried to put me under, I couldn't lay down so they put me out while I was sitting up on the stretcher. That was pretty alarming. And while I'm feeling better in general, my throat is torn up bad from that ventilator they stuck down my windpipe. I can barely talk now and it hurts.
I hope I'm over that soon!

I won't find out the results for a few weeks. I was also told I can't do anything for at least 6 weeks. I thought it was to be one week.

They meant that I could resume driving an light lifting and light housework after a week. It will be 6 weeks before I'm fully mended up.

Doc says that he's pretty sure they are going to have me back in a few months to have a few items removed. :-/ Just to be on the safe side.
I'll get confirmation when the tests are back.

One good thing that gave me great relief was that mu mammogram came back clean. Whew! Thank goodness for that! Other areas though, remain to be seen. Hence the explorations... :-/

I guess I'll have to hire my friend's boyfriend to plant that big dish for me after all. No way I can do that. If I wait 6 weeks I'll miss even more channels. I want the MyFamily TV channel now too, looks like it has some oldies on it.

I'm sitting in the Hotel watching IRT Deadliest Roads rerun. I left my PC running to record it and a few of my other favorites so I can watch them on the weekend.

I see that Rick's daughter turned out to be ok and he gets to stay for more road terror... I like Rick even though he has a potty mouth and funny hair, he's really a nice guy at heart. :)

Lisa is just awesome. Need I say more?

Dave, he's a little culturally insensitive, making cracks about cheesburgers and what-not.. I don't know about him, I don't think he'll make it.

American Restoration? Love it! I love the old coke machines and stuff he does. The man is an artist and I can appreciate the quality work he does. He's GOOD. And he's pretty hot too. But sadly, some lucky, quick chick snapped him up already! Oh well, a girl can daydream huh?... :luvlove:

Maybe one day I can go to Vegas and have him restore something for me and get a few pics with him... ;) Great show, great guy.. :)

Time for meds. I'll be entering the Dingbat Zone soon. @party

I should be back home tomorrow evening where the internet is REAL and not soup cans and kite string. This thing is almost impossible to use..

TTFN!! :)

Thank you guys. :)

I'm back home now. I'm sore as all get-out and I am highly restricted on what I can and can not do.. :(

By next week I can start doing easy, simple things. But I have to go back again in two weeks for a follow up and I don't know what that will bring.

Right now I'm feeling pretty beat up and run over..

I'll just read a lot for a few weeks I guess. I'm kinda glassy eyed anyway from la-la pills.

Maybe I'll get my neighbors boyfriend to plant those cband poles for me in the meantime. I hate being a spectator now..

:)
