If you don't want to go that far how about this hike in Spain

Pedrogarcia,

WOW... WOW!

Now that takes the cake! That makes IRT and the dadliest roads look like a baby in a crib. I am a bit acrophobic, so it really gets me. Wouldn't be so bad if there were a trail, but much of it is missing!

Personally, I do not go over bridges. Overpasses, yes. Bridges, no...

Another thing on my list of DO NOT EVER DO is climbing things. Like the video above. I got sick watching that video. I thought I was going to faint, throw up and have a double accident all at the same time while watching that video.

The people that climbed that tower are INSANE. I hope that they at least wear a parachute!

And really, why climb it? Why not have a helicopter put them on top? I've seen men climb on and off high voltage power lines from helicopters on the History Channel. Climbing that tower is a death wish and just plain insanity.

This road looks pretty dangerous.

At least this person isn't driving.

I think he had a heart attack last season. I don't think his heart could have taken the stress. Those roads are pure insanity. It was probably a very wise decision that he quit when he did.

I'm surprised he didn't have another one helping Ray dig his truck out of the ditch..

I forgot about his heart attack. It makes more sense as to why he quit due to that. I am surprised that there was not more help with getting Ray's truck out of the ditch.

I agree and I'm glad to see some one remembered to turn the microwave transmitters off

Dee,

This thread is awesome! Thanks!

Allow me to add another item to the great list here... I am sure it has been seen before, but it belongs in this thread just the same.

Another example of crazy people doing crazy things!

YouTube - Man Can Fly!

You're welcome.. :)

And that video? That's flippin COOL!
Yes, I'm terrified of heights and 100x more terrified of flying. But that, looks FUN!
They look like flying squirrels!

I saw some guy on History channel, I think it was that "super human" show that flies with a little wing and some wee itty bitty jet engines on it. That was pretty neat too!

It's fun to watch but I would never do any of that crazy stuff.
Well, maybe if I was 20 again. Sigh...

:)

Two things come to mind.

Many years ago my ex and I were in St Louis and took the elevator to the top of the Arch. I didn't realize until much later when all the pictures were developed (no digital equipment in those days) that she REALLY did turn green. I had no idea she was that afraid of heights.

Then a few years later we were at the Grand Canyon, she looked over the side, then backed away quickly (I had forgotten her fear), she looked at me and said something like ... "If I were a guy, my gonads would have shriveled up to nothing."

Looking at the video of the tower climb, I almost wish there WAS a way for me to send that to her (evil laugh).

Thinking of the Grand Canyon, today is Phottoette's Birthday. We are off for four days TO the Grand Canyon. We have lived in Arizona three years now, and this will be her FIRST visit to the Canyon. I wonder what color SHE will turn when she looks down into the Canyon for the first time. (he he he)

new attitude:

When I first saw this thread, I wasn't particularly interested.
A few years back, I saw a 1 hour documentary on the ice road truckers, and got a full education on the whole story.
Very intense stuff, that nobody ever heard of! - :up

Then, the series came along, and I wondered what more they could add...?
After a bit of viewing, I realized it was just a reality show, and wandered off. :(

It was only when a local friend actually described driving the Indian mountains, that I took a look.
Man, that new IRT Deadliest Roads is one wild show! -
Couple more episodes and I'll probably have enough, but with that show title, maybe next season they'll go somewhere else and do it all over again! - :D - :up
