Sometimes, in sports, announcers are known to say something on a regular basis.

Some of them never get tired (Marv Albert's 'Yes!'), but some can get pretty damn annoying.

What are some habits, or things that announcers frequently say, that annoy you?

For instance, everytime Sam Rosen says "It's a power-play goal!" when the Rangers score with the man advantage, I find it annoying. (Sorry, Sandra- too many bad Sabres/Rangers memories)

Miller/Morgan = I mean,

Everytime they have "a thought", they say their thought, then say "I mean" then repeat their thought. I mean, do they really have to do that ?

SERIOUSLY?

I thought he was Buckeye-biased during tOSU's 2006 games against Michigan and Texas, as well as the 2002 Michigan game.

He is about as much against the Buckeyes as Mark May and Trev Alberts.

Musburger ROOTS for whoever is winning, another thing that annoys me.

Pretty much anything that comes out of the mouth of Dick Vitale. I appreciate his energy and passion for the game of college basketball, but enough is enough:

"Trifecta"
"Diaper Dandy"
"he's a PTPer"
"It's awesome, baby, with a capital A!"

etc., etc.

Every one is entitled to thier catch phrases.

I like him.

Other than Dickie V, college basketball announcers are BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Sean McDonough/Jay Bilas/Bill Raftery= the best broadcast team in ALL sports today, IMO.

When is their first game?

I want to hear these guys and see if they are as good as you have them as.

It's called, in honor of a team we have debated about, "The Arizona Cardinals test.'

If they can make a game between so-so teams or a blowout sound meaningful, they pass.

They normally do the first game of the "Big Monday" tripleheader on ESPN.

You'll note that I ended my statement with a "IMO", which more times than not I put in a post which includes an opinion.

With all due repect, you can say they suck, but IMO, the are the best broadcast team in sports today. ;)

BTW, please remind me what we're "debating" about the Arizona Cardinals?

I'm touting them as a good team that can create fireworks this year and over the next 3-5 years; you remind me of their brutal history and bad division.

Basically, it's a 'point/counterpoint.'

With all due repect, you can say they suck

I'm not going to say that; I have heard them, but it's been a while since I've seen a college basketball game on a network other than CBS.

I want to be refeshed on how good they are.

My main pet peeve is when announcers say--he had five touchdowns "a year ago". Just say "last year"! It's shorter, and it doesn't sound like you are trying to be some journalist showoff.

Fulmer gone from UT.....

Should Mike Singletary be 49ers coach
