iOS7 Discussion Thread

Did you do a hard reset of power-home for about 15 seconds? To try to let the battery recalibrate? My iPad on iOS7 drains faster than it did on iOS6, but my iPhone 5S works great, never any battery complaints.
No. I'll try that.

I also read to let it drain to near zero before recharging.

I find my iPhone 5s on Virgin Mobile does not like my Office. We re-skinned the building with insulated steel panels a few years ago and ever since then, our cellular signal was blocked inside. We tried the repeater route, but the Sprint network (Virgin's parent in the US) wasn't strong to begin with. As a result people with Sprint phones might as well put their phones in Airplane Mode. If I do that I can leave at the end of the day with my battery over 90%. Otherwise, it's closer to 30%.

It is pretty clear you need to either get a new job, or demand they build a new office. ;)

The only issue is that none of the Cydia APPs I use are compatible with iOS7 yet. Even though I am JB, I do not have any JB advantages at this moment.

Is there an app that can make other app not know that the device is jailbroken because some apps like Flixter will not run on rooted/jailbroken devices.
Would like to know before I jailbreak.

That is unexpectedly quick. I guess it's time to back everything up and JB my iPad air and upgrade my iPhone to ios 7 and JB it.

Actually, there seems to be some controversy surrounding it. With a Chinese App Store bundled with it. I think I'll give it a few days to shake out before pulling the trigger.

The Chinese Ap Store may have spyware, not the jailbreak itself.
Apple is beta testing 7.1 right now.
If they close the JB loophole used n 7.0x, and stop signing it, you could miss a very short window and again be left with no JB.
On the other hand, JB now, load the Cydia ap store when ready, and delete the Chinese store

The Chinese store did not even load when I did it. It only loads if your phone is set to Chinese as the default language.

After reading more from the JB community, they are almost 100% that the JB is free of any spyware. The issue is that it is still a little unstable as not all of the substraits have been updated for iOS7, as well as Cydia itself and many of the Cydia APPs. This JB was released before Saurik knew it would be released and he has not had the chance to update Cydia.
