iOS7 Discussion Thread

I would say we will see it on the 20th.

?Although they might have held out a Gold Master as it might have hidden features which will be announced today.

More features would be good, although my iPhone has been steady - and now that the weird battery problem is gone, it is solid. And I don't, for the first time, feel compelled to run out and buy an iPhone 5S; at least not this month. Maybe in a few (as the pressure from my son for me to upgrade so he can get my 5 will grow).

That is until you hear the hidden features that the 5s will make you want it... I have a feeling I will be waiting for the 6 before upgrading my 5...

And not OTA, as I expected. Not sure I have the time or patience to do the full restore today…

AND iOS 7 is GM for the iPAD? Are you kidding me? That software was buggy as could be in beta 6. My iPad might live in iOS 6.1 for awhile.

Let me know if when you install it if wipes the device, if I recall, sometimes it hasn't. And that would be much more preferable right now...

I'm downloading it, but like you, not sure I want to chance a total wipe and reload.

Well dang it, I needed some one to be my beta tester on this. :D Mine is downloaded, but untouched. But since it is an .ipsw file, I am pretty sure its a wipe and restore. Sigh...

No full restore needed, just download it extract the ipsw file to your desktop, open itunes, hold down the option key and click check for upgrades, next select the IPSW file and click go. Mine was updated within 2 minutes. :)
