I don't mind being put to work by folks doing stuff in my house, that's how I've learned to do several jobs myself. I worked with the guy who put up my Slimline and we had a beer (private installer, not DirecTV) to celebrate our job when it was done. Helped that it was nearly 100 degrees that day and no telling what the temp was in the attic where we had to run cables.

Point blank, if you let a customer leave you alone your asking to be fired, the policy is there for a reason folks.
