Well the installer called today he got a stop at a town not to far from where I live. So 1st thing I asked him if he had the right euqipment due to I knew folks were haveing issues getting the right stuff. Well Im in that boat also he said that he had a Dish 1000 plus a 411. I told him I did not want a 411 wanted a 211 he asked me Why. I said I would like to have the ablitiy to use the VIP part of the receiver and the 411 does not have that. I told him that Dish probally wont make anymore 411 that they will probally stay with the 211. I hate it that Dish sent out all these 411's to these warehouses and their stuck with them. When they know that they are going with the 211's. Now these warehouse are stuck with 411 and sending those out instead of 211's. They need to make sure they have enough supplys for both of them from Dish. He said that on the upgrade plan that it could be a 411 or 211. But I said well folks should be able to choose what they want and the suppliers should have both in stock ahead time. If not then they need to let folks know this ahead of time. That way they can waite untill they get more 211's in stock. So right know he told me not to call Dish that he would call me back to see what he could do. They make this so much harder than what it really needs to be . I just hope Dish stops sending out 411's and make sure suppliers are getting 211's in stock.
Now while typeing this the installer calls back and says the only 211's they have been getting installed are ones that Dish has mailed to the Customers already. He said they have been only getting 411's from the warehouse that the only 211's installs they have done are where Dish mails the 211 to the Customers ahead of time. Man what a joke so now I dont know what to do just stay with the 411 that he has or just call Dish have them mail me a 211 which he said could take 2-4days. All I know is that this is a mess!! Right now I dont know what to do I might go ahead and take the 411 due to I might not never use the ethernet port but I would like to have it just in case I do decided to do it. I dont know what do you guys think?????
