Hi,

We are getting ready to schedule our installation of DirecTV. We brought an Ultimate TV DVR and a DRW490RD with us. The house currently a 3-LNB Phase III dish. We subsequently purchased a HDTV and are now ready to upgrade our system.

Our desired system:

- HDTV in family Room - HR20
- HDTV in master BR - HR20
- 3 bedrooms with convential TV's - Probably 2 with active boxes
- Possible bathroom TV (no coxial outlet)

Questions
1 - Phone line in family room - Is installation possible during DirecTV installation? If not, will wireless phone jacks work with HR-20?

2 - Dish choice - We live in Tallahassee, FL. The locals are not yet being transmitted in HD, but they are expected in 2007. I have heard of a slimline 5-LNB dish. What are issues important in picking between the AT-9 and Slimline? Do you have any suggestions?

3 - OTA - Can the OTA antenna be multiplexed with the satellite signals? I would love to have OTA and DirecTV at all outlets. The OTA is currently a Winegard GS-1100. However, we would like to upgrade the antenna to an amplified model.

4 - Coaxial outlets - We have only one cable serving the family room and bedroom. Thus, an additional cable is needed for each DVR. Are cables fished through walls and connected through wallplates?

Thanks for any suggestions.
Seb

1. The installer is supposed to run a phone line if applicable. If it is not reasonable to do so, the HR20 will operate just fine without a phone line.

2. AT-9 and AU-9(slimline) are identical in functionality. They just look slightly different.

3. Short answer is no.

4. Depends on your installer and your location. They may do the wallfishes if they can, but it isn't part of standard installation. Therefore there may be a charge for each. Standard installation includes only drilling through exterior walls for necessary runs.
