Installation Blues

Hi! I'm a newby.

System includes Viewsat 2000 and Wavefrontier T-90 with PanSat Twin Offset LNBF PT-5600.

I am located in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Postal code is C1A 9R5. That would be 46.2 North and 63.1 West incase Canadian postal codes don't work for you.

Tried to Install on AMC3 at 87W, Intelsat6 at 93W and Intelsat 5 at 97W following Wavefrontier install instructions. No luck at all.

My Install buddy with a 10.5 foot dish on a rotor took the Viewsat home, hooked it up and was able to get 20 channels total off the T5 satellite at 97W. Nothing from AMC3 or T6. There should have been a lot more than this according to the info I read on FTADirect web page links.

Can anybody give me an idea where I go from here to increase the channels I receive on these three satellites?

The Viewsat has no blind scan so you would have to enter the TP.s manually to get more/all the FTA channels.

Thanks for the pointing info!!!
Can you tell me where or how I get info on programming channels for different satellites? At least now I know why my initial attempt at Hispasat was a total failure.{ the first three satellites I tried for were in mid Atlantic and did not have any factory installed info in the receiver. I had assumed that the Viewsat would have a blind or smart search capability.}

KU Band has a 5 digit freq.
C Band has a 4 digit freq.

welcome to the sat guys family, another resourse i like is tele-satellite international magazine the us edition. check it out online. usually has some good articles, reviews and a listing of all frequencies. also subscriptions come with a computer disk showing all listings, kinda pricy at $45.00 but i think well worth it. last issue had break down of each sat by freq. and symbol rate, only problem is it is sometimes a bit dated since it only comes out once every two months. have fun and stick with it.
