Hey everyone, longtime member first post.
Long story short, I moved into an apt. this past weekend mainly because the leasing agent assured me I could get a signal from my balcony without any problems. Well the installer came out and unfortunately my kitchen bay window sticks out a little bit and is right next to my balcony and is blocking the LoS just enough to prevent my install.
Unfortunately they will not let me do a pole mount in front of my balcony. I asked the installer if he had an extension so we could stick the dish out a little bit more off the balcony to look around the bay window, but he didn't want to do it due to the weight of the 5 lnb dish.
Do you guys think I could find an installer who would do that setup for me if I built some sort of additional ground to dish support to alleviate the weight of the dish on my balcony rail?
Also, I'd appreciate it if anyone knows any DFW installers they could refer me to (pm me their name and #) so I could explain my situation. Freaking Grande Cable is my only option as of now and I'm not happy about it...
