I have never had a smooth install. Not with cable. Not with D*, and now, not with Dish.
I called to order. Was told install on the 13th.
Called back next day to ask a questions, was told my date was the 25th. Not that it had been changed, but that it had ALWAYS been the 25th, I didn't argue-- no big deal.
I ordered 1 ViP622 and one SD-DVR. Then, per my contact at CEO@echostar, I emailed him and he added the 2nd ViP 622. Nice!
So... today is the 13th. I'm at work and my phone rings. Of course, it's a Dish installer on his way to my house. I begin to feel that all-too-familiar "install queasiness." So, I say. OK, I think I can get home in time. I ask him to tell me what is on the work order. YES! TWO ViP 622s! AND NOTHING ELSE. The intsaller says he will check it out and call me back.
Looks like when they put the 2nd 622 on, they put it on INSTEAD of the SD model, not in addition.
I call and get sent to a "specialist" who can't help due to the "4 tuner limit" on the current promotion. SO, now I am back to contacting my CEO@echostar contact to see what, if anything, can be done. And of course, it's been 2 hours and no word from the installer...
