Here's my dilemma. It involves my D* service although not directly, maybe not at all. I'm moving to an apartment and I want to use the central antenna system for the building since I have an HDTV and D* service. Unfortunately, the area I'm moving to doesn't have DSL service available, so I have to go with Comcast high speed. Here's my questions
1) I fear that the antenna system gets switched off in an apartment when cable is piped through the wires (I think there is a master room that switches whether an apartment receives the signal from the antenna or from cable). Has anyone encountered this and were you able to get an antenna signal and cable internet in your apartment? Did they wire anything extra to your apartment?
2) Can I use one of the Terk antennas that fit the D* Phase III dishes on an AT9 dish? I want my HD locals OTA, even after Cleveland gets hooked up for HD locals sometime in June.
Any help would be appreciated.
