Happy New Year! Welcome back to the Inner Circle. 2005 promises to be a time of great innovation in the world of consumer electronics, as the shift from analog to digital technology and the reduction in prices for thin panel HD sets continues at an ever-increasing pace.
VOOM started the year at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Over 140,000 people came to CES to see the latest and most exciting product introductions. Many of these featured product innovations give consumers unprecedented control over when, where and how they watch television, listen to music, view photos, and communicate with each other.
CES attendance was at an all-time high this year, and the VOOM booth was very popular among attendees who dropped by to experience life in high definition. Attendees who visited our booth not only viewed all of the great HD programming available with VOOM, but they also saw preview demonstrations of both our networkable HD-PVR that is in development and the stand-alone HD-PVR that we plan to release this spring.
