ST. LOUIS -- The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday granted the NFL's request for a permanent stay, NFL.com reported.
The decision will keep the league-imposed lockout, which has entered its third month, in place during the appeals process.

Could a Mod change the topic to reflect that the injunction is null & void, and the lockout is on for the duration of the appeal. Or better yet, just rename the thread to NFL Lockout, and stickee it.

Yeah, I agree. The whole point of the original post is irrelevant now. This would be better named as the 'NFL Lockout' thread.

Speaking for myself, I'm not interested any more in discussing what is a multi-billion dollar corporate legal issue, especially in a sports forum. At this point, I feel they're both wrong, and all I'm interested in is seeing football this fall. Nothing I say or do will change that, so whenever the business is up and running again my participation in the real offseason discussions can resume...
