Just wanted to share with everyone that I have decided that I am not leaving for Direct TV no matter what and that I am happy with Dish Network and the channels I have. My install went off without a problem a few years back. My upgrade went off without a hitch. My phone calls to the CSR's have been answered promptly and handled with professionalism and accurately, and I have had very few problems with the system that is installed, and the price is just about right.
Since some seem to have the need to start threads stating they are leaving, I only thought it be far that I start a thread about how I am staying.

Why didn't you post this in the War Zone? Seems like War Zone material.

No more so than an "I'm moving to Direct TV" thread. If I had posted this in the Direct TV forum them it would be war zone material.
How in the hell can it be war zone material if I am posting that I am staying with Dish in the Dish forum. I'm staying and I am supporting Dish. That is controversial? REALLY?
Please oh Please explain to me how that can be considered war zone material. Please point out what in my opening would be considered war zone material??? This should be good.

Because it would be fun. And the only reason you posted this is because someone else posted they are leaving. You said it yourself. IMO thats a war!

See we already know why people choose to stay with a company, Because they like it. Well when someone decides to leave most would like to know why. Like what happend.

Well until you hijacked and tried to turn this into a negative thread, the purpose of the thread was so that if there were others who might be staying would have the opportunity to express that they are staying as well and why. Seems only fair to have a thread for those stating they are staying if there is one for those who are leaving.
Or is it your stance that the only posts in this forum are for negative stances on Dish and Dish products? Well, I guess your above post answers that question!

Yes ,to all. Thank you for understanding. Have fun with your topic. As soon As I see E* have something positive ,I'll gladly run it passed you guys. But Channel Drops ,Fee's, Poor HD PQ ,Bad Customer service. Is enough to keep me wanting E* to make an improvement. Negatives bring change ! positives don't.

Me neither. Voom deletions aside, I'm very excited about the new(er!!) HD receivers coming down the pike. :)

I agree. Dish offers the best chioce and value of any company out there. I am happy with the service, price, communications, and customer service of dish network. My only beef with dish and the only reason I would ever consider switching is Dish networks outright refusal to add LOGO while expanding asinine sport programing.

With a company like Dish though, especially with the things they have done (or have happened to them) recently, it is very likely there are people wondering why someone decides to stay with them, leaving would be the logical choice.

For me, it's the equipment, not to mention the several terabytes of archived storage that would be useless if I switch.

I'm staying too. I've looked at Direct a couple of times, but haven't been able to make a convincing financial case for switching.

I must comment that I find the emotional attachment that some seem to have to their selected provider a little strange. It's only TV.

Regards,Eric

Well, I am step further into the insanity... I just subscribed to Dish last week and willingly entered into the two year contract. Since I am only concerned with adding HD channels, the HD Abs price can't be beat.

what i don't understand is why some members here get all worked up when a E member decides to switch to D. what's wrong with that? i have E and i'm installing D tomorrow and already i'm being treated badly. what the hell? i will continue to read and post here in the dish forums because i still have E and now i also have D. be happy for those that do leave and hope it goes well for them. stop all the hatred!

SpringstIen???
