I'm locking G3!!

I tuned to G3 C tonight (equity channels with the dreaded 7/8 FEC) and have a perfect lock. No dish tuning.

Either equity did something or I am not getting the usual terrestrial interference.
I am getting TI on c-band a lot lately at certain times.

arond 5:00pm or so I get heavy digital break up on most of my c-band signals.
Does not affect Ku.

The Equity G3 mux seems normal on my end. Maybe your local microwave offenders broke down.

I think that must be the case. I have a super strong signal quality and absolutely no pixelization. My HBO/Max on G1 is much stronger too.

It seems I get heavy breakup around 11:00 - 1130 am and 5:00 - 5:30pm every day.
However it can be on and off all day every now and then.

Possible causes I have heard:

1. Weather radar (from local tv station downtown just a few blocks away)
2. AWACS planes patrolling overhead
3. River boat radar (River is just 4 blocks away) Ohio River
4. telephone towers?

It would be intersting to have an oscilloscope connected to see what the spikes look like.
