If no Duo Node... who's gonna wait?

Here we are a day before launch, and still no confirmed yes, or no on the Duo Node. Just rumors saying it will not be ready. Just curious to see how many folks are going to wait for it to arrive before upgrading. I'm going to wait.

I'm curious to find out if the delay is due to technical reasons with the unit itself, or intentional because the multi-Hopper SW integration isn't ready yet....

I have no official information (or unofficial) saying it is or is not delayed. However if it is I would say the delay is intentional.

it seems a little crazy for a company to not to communicate to their retailers/distributors/installers that there is a delay for a key piece of equipment for a major hardware release. Especially now that you're one day away from launch.

Considering all the sign up sheets, documentation, etc show 2 hoppers and now they'll have nothing to tell the customer when they ask for information.

I'd say this is far too much dysfunction for it to be intentional.

That's what i'm screamin!!! Also the very reason I started this thread. Trying to rattle a few cages!!!!

one thing they have going for them is that customer awareness is probably non-existent so maybe it doesn't matter that certain equipment isn't available. 3/15 almost seems like a soft launch considering they haven't even posted any information this week for the public.

What? I have a Duo node in my van now... What did I miss?

Edit

We are short on them but the warehouse says additional duo crates en route.
Sent from my fingers.

Will they install a 2 hopper setup if duo node is not available and if so how hard is it to add when it becomes available?

I doubt it. It would mean adding a switch to feed two solo-nodes, then bridging the moca together. Probably doable, but they won't be eager for the extra expense and trouble.

Is it possible to bridge 2 solo nodes?

My thought is something along these lines:

DPP44 has satellite links.
Output 1 grouping --> Solo Node 1
Output 2 grouping --> Solo Node 2

IIRC, the Solo node has 2 MoCA network outputs. So... from each solo node:

MoCA 1 --> splitter --> Joey Nodes
MoCA2 --> Between Solo Nodes.

I dont know if this violates the limits of the MoCA network.

Otherwise, I'd wait for the Duo node to come out.

Hopper Ordered! /wave Time Warner Cable!

When to get Joey's...
