Was watching TV earlier and wanted to go to another satellite, so selected the channel I wanted to go to and the dish started moving, and then stopped...

The display is flashing |---------- then 0737 then back to |----------- again. Pressing any of the buttons on the front of the GBOX changes to |---------- to ------------|

It looks like a limits issue.

I have taken the remote and have pressed and held the limits button which starts the countdown from 10... 9... 8 ... 7... 6... then when it gets down to 6 it goes back to |--------- on the display again.

I even tried holding the button to do a master reset it counts down for a few seconds and changes back. (even put new batteries in the remote... countdown while holding the resets down never goes past 6.

Tried unplugging it, and it comes up and does that same thing...

Any ideas or suggestions?

Try unplugging the unit, then hold down the power button on the GBox while plugging in the unit and count to 10 while holding the button down and see if that resets it for you.

Good Luck!

Got it... I unplugged it for about 3 minutes, then plugged it in. I then turned the power on and held the LIMITS button on the remote and this time it counted down from 10 and made it all the way, clearing the limits.

Things are working again. (Yeah!) :)

The GBOX has been trouble free up until now.. who knows I might have fell asleep on the remote or something. :)

can't wait for terminal issues (since they are spring loaded and not screw clamp-down type) or solder joint issues to show up. Those plagued my VBOX, pretty much forcing me to get a GBOX. I don't have enough "miles" on my GBOX yet, but I am sure those will show up somewhere along the line in the future since stuff are not built like tanks anymore.

Well it happened again tonight...

And I figured out something... it's not a GBOX issue, its an AZBox issue.

I resolved it by going and changing the DISEqC1.2 and diabling the limits. This took care of the problem. :)

One of the Azbox firmware updates was setting the lower limit on my Gbox. I have the Azbox on a USALS dish now so I don't know it newer firmwares have fixed the problem or not.
