If it isn't DirecTV from Qwest it's VDSL (fiber to the DSLAM, not necessarily to your house):

I've had their VDSL service a couple times now and it is pretty nice. What you get for the money TV wise is nice. You also get 3 video streams from the one STB.
You have on IR remote for the room where the STB is.
You get two more RF remotes that can independantly control the two other video streams for multi-room viewing. This is similar to what Dish's dual tuner boxes do... only Qwest has been doing it for five years now .
Did I mention this all happens on 1 coax cable to the STB?
It's pretty slick.
Why don't I have it now if it's so great? The Internet speed kind of sucks. The maximum speed avialable is 1.5 meg down and 768k up.
While the Internet speed is a big factor for me the other problem is that there is no DVR offered (Tivo fixes that) and no High Definition service offered.
If they'd offer HD and kick the Internet speed up a notch I'll be all over it.
I think Verizon's FIOS is the next generation technology of what Qwest has been doing all along.
