I am getting Hartford HD Locals! When did that start?

Sorry if I missed a post or two, but I noticed this weekend that all of the Hartford, CT locals, including independants and PBS, are now coming in on my 622! Very cool! Even my cable (Charter) does not have all of these in HD.

7380 - WTNH (ABC)
7381 - WFSB (CBS)
7382 - WVIT (NBC)
7383 - WTIC (FOX)
7384 - WTXX (CW)
7385 - WCTX (MyTV)
7386 - CPTV (PBS)
7387 - WUVN (IND)

I currently have a Dish 500 plus a 300 at 61.5. Which dish are these channels coming from?

Was there an announcement about these?

If I'm out of the loop, again, sorry. I searched but did not see anything.

I don't think those are HD. They are listed as QPSK which is an easy giveaway that they are SD.

Those are SD channels not HD.

They have been on Dish for about 3 years now

A little OT to the OP Question but if Hartford (market 28) has HD for the CW and MyTV networks, why doesn't New York (MARKET 1) have it. Why can't I see the Mets in HD (on WPIX CW11) without a OTA?

Again they are not HD. Dish has no plans to offer hartford locals in HD anytime soon.

Ok, guess I should have waited to hear confirmation before I posted. Is there any plans to offer CW HD in the current markets that have the major 3 in HD?

Thanks Scott. I never noticed them before, and assumed that they would be HD. Oh well, it would have been nice. That must just be the locations of the SD signals.

Did Direct TV ever do Hartford Locals HD?

What about Dish, any word on HD from them?

DirecTV does do hartford locals in HD, however they are missing WTNH (ABC) and no PBS, CW, MY Network...

(First off, sorry for jumping the gun on this topic thread title. I've been home sick and was playing with the 622 remote on a non-HD TV, and saw those "high number" channels as just assumed they were HD)

Anyway, that's interesting that WTNH is not available on D*, as here in Eastern CT, I have Charter Cable, and we get almost every local station in HD with the exception of WTNH. Are they holding up these providors for big bucks?
