Hunt camp setup

While in my local area i bring a satellite setup to a park in my state and receive abc,cbs,nbc. Why do I not receive these channels when I go away to another state. I have a slim line 3 mounted on a tripod. I have dish tilt, elevation and azimuth adjusted for the correct area.
