HR2x CE Release 4/24 v.0301

I downloaded this CE on one of my HR21-100 receivers. MRV works great accessing my other HR21-100 that is still on the national release and recording an HD program. I've seen a few glitches but it is working.

I downloaded CE software on both of my recivers My living room and my daughters room. I have my bed room that I will do tommorow night. I do have a network that I will be running in the next couple of weeks. All wireless N with 4 wireless N bridges. I cant wait to see how this is going to work. I have 4 areas on my house that I will be running cat5e to wireless N bridge... Then wirless n to the router.. and off to the cable modem :).

Note you will have to populate the tuners before view previous channels will work as shown in the attachments below... :) Click Here for easy viewing...(then scroll over first attachment)

Feel asleep so downloading now. Never thought we would see DLB. Its been talked about at nausea at the other site for years. Might have been the reason why it was unstable last weekend CE.

So the really cool part is that we have two 90-minute buffers that both buffer while in standby mode! I got to catch up on the news and Sportscenter when I woke up this morning. :D

DLB is cool, however IMO it would be cooler if it switched tuners everytime you changed channel so your previous channel is always recording. That is the way I usually watch tv. And then way an option to lock on a channel and not change the channel on the tuner. That way I dont have to always manually do it.

Anways, overall this CE seems faster or back to normal. I can change channels now, before I would have problems with the tuner lagging. The recordings playlist is still a little slower than the national release for me.

Reported at another site:
Interesting side effect of DLB, you can keep track of 4 channels.

Tune to a channel, now tune to another. You can now PREV between the two on this tuner.
Swap tuners. Tune to another channel. Now you can PREV between these two on this tuner.
If you swap back to tuner 1 you can still PREV between those first two channels. It remembers all 4 channels.

btw, they did a great job at implementing the recording options while using DLB.

Words to this effect:

You are set to record programs at 9:00 on both tuners. <then says what the scheduled recordings are> What would you like to do?

i've had the dvr freeze and unfreeze by itself a few times. box is pretty slow since last night. when going to the setup menu, the background was black instead of blue. went back to normal by itself. any other issues i will report.
