HR-24 and new HD guide

I have always been under the understanding that if your CE number is higher than the National release it will not override it. In other words if the National release is 057A and I have the CE 058C, it will not override it. If the National release is 057A and I have the CE of 056D, it will override it. I could be wrong, but to my knowledge I have never had a National Release in my HR20-700, since I have been in the CE program.

You are correct, however, the new NR will generally be a higher software number than the current CE, thus over writing it .... then when you do your next CE, tyou'll see that the CE number will be the higher one ...
