How's The Speed?

In addition to the excessive CPU consumption on my single-core home computer, my dual-core work computer has only 1GB of RAM. I think that's the culprit here. I was just playing around w/another dual-core computer here at work and it is pretty zippy. It also has 4GB of RAM.

This old XP laptop has 1GB of RAM, a (single-core) Celeron M processor, and is slower than vBulletin. But it's still not as horrible as my W2K computer. Maybe I need to install a more recent version of FF on W2K. I'm at a beach house in NC right now, so I can't experiment. But I'll try to remember to boot into my W7 partition and see if it's just FF.
