How to see a display while watching a recording on the 722

HI, I don't mean to sound dumb, but I can't seem to figure out how to press a button to see the time left display while watching a recording on the 722. The only way I can do that is to stop the recording on pause & that shows the display. Does someone know how to do this? Thanks.

Pause is the only way. as far as I know. Maybe someone else will know of another way to get the time remaining.

On the 622 I just press the blue button in the middle of the circle (enter I believe). That brings up the banner and on the right it shows remaining time.

You're right. I pressed the ent. button & the display & time left came up. Thanks for your help.

Your right, that is the "select" button.

The Cancel button also works for this, and might actually work better for if you don't like to wait for the banner to automatically disappear. Hit cancel once to bring up banner, hit it again to get rid of it - no moving fingers to two button...finger already on Cancel.
