How to get an additional $240 off as a new DirecTV customer

Just had my DirecTV installed, I did have to ask the DirecTV rep to add the HD extra pack free for three months in there, but everything else seemed to check out fine. Below is my updated online account line items. There are many items canceling out each other, guess this is how DirecTV handles things:

Should be no problem, just call the special number earlier in the thread and give them the first 6 numbers from your AAA membership. I think it is sent to you after your insurance is started.

I think that current Direct and AAA members get the $50 off per year deal. I was under the impression that the $10 off per month was for new subscribers. As Masterdeals stated, call the Direct 1-800 number that is exclusively for AAA members.

I can hardly believe how good this deal is. I just called and ordered (switching from E*). I'll save 40 bucks a month AND get NESN-HD to watch the Sox! Rock on.

Just off the horn with customer service, then sales again. They did have to cancel the order, he didn't have the DVR on it! Fool.

I don't know if he got all the discounts (I doubt it) but the new rep I got this time was most helpful and I could tell she made sure everything was OK. My install date slid a couple days, but I'm in no particular hurry, so I'm all better now.
