You can buy the 20 db gain model but it probably won't improve the signal quality at your remote locations that are only 50 cable feet away. It does give you some extra sig if for instance at your remote locations you also have a VCR in line before the sat sig reaches the tv. VCRs can have 5 or 6 db loss even when off so the extra 10 db might be useful. I don't know of any tv that will have trouble with a single channel at a level of +15 or +20 DbMv. Now if you have 70 analog channels at +20 feeding a TV it's possible to overload the tv tuner causing more distortion in the picture than what was present at the input of the tv set.
