How Smart is 722?

I work thirds so I change the update time to 2:50 pm so when I'm off and can't sleep it won't bug me watching TV. I haven't ran into this problem yet but if I'm recording a show at say 2:30pm to 3:00pm is the 722 smart enough to know that and hold off the update?

I thought that also, but after having four tuners on my account wanting to add two more... I had to buy one!
