cheap nowadays
it is very cheap nowadays. if you started out 20 years ago or so,my first system $3000 and i did the install . had to call a guy out because i could not get it to work right, had the lnb wires wrong from the long run duh. but set it up by the dish and the guy could not believe how close i was on the arc he just rolled it a bit on the pole.
see those 2 Drakes down there ? about $1600 and i had all the 800# back then. if you just bought them locally over $2000 easy. had to get the wife her own 1624 and the 5 footer then she took the 1824 i got stuck with the 1624. first year over $5000 plus the work.
nowadays this all looked cheap when i HAD a job !
$150-300 boxes $75 dishes nice

for the younger members back before the net smart shoppers used 800# to get the best deals on all the cool electronics stereos recievers, tape decks was that all we had lol
.the numbers were in the back of magazines. you would call a guy in wisconsin get a price and then call another guy in NYC and keep going back and forth till you got the best deal. i bet there are some of you that remember those days.
