It's official! After extensive negotiations, CBS has renewed How I Met Your Mother for a ninth season.

You could read that blub a lot of ways. It could pretty much be any time from now until the end of next season. They could have quite a few episodes with Ted and her meeting but not connecting before they finally fall for each other.

Every time i hear they are doing another Robin Sparkles show I think there can't be any more laughs to mine there but I wind up enjoying the shows.

I guess I have always been ambivalent about the whole Robin character but maybe that caharacter is more intrinsic to the nature of the show than I give it credit foir.

Well that cooment about meeting in 45 days makes me wonder if the stories about the reveal coming at the end of the series (next season) are true. i will tell you what though that guy Geronimo should be more careful about posting anything definitive about a show that has as many plot twists as this one.

Since the show is titled "How I Met Your Mother" not How I Met, Dated, and Married Your Mother" that would be the logical conclusion.

The finale date of May 13 is 49 days from last Monday's episode. Since weddings are traditionally on Saturday that would pretty much line up with the previous weekend. As I said all along, he will meet her during the finale, but I believe details and actual identity will be the cliffhanger.

Not sure what you are disagreeing with. My earlier prediction was that we we would see her next year. I was just admitting that I am apparently incorredct. Or weewr you disagreeing with teachsac?

Guess I misunderstood what you were saying 3 posts back. Thought you were saying we wouldn't see her until end of next year.

However, I'm not sure whether we will see her face in May, but I bet we do in September.

They could date next year and finish the season with the wedding. Just because future Ted knows she ends up being the one, does not mean that now Ted does and they could perhaps not hit it off at first and go back and forth for a while before current Ted figures out she is the one.

I think a year of them the dating coudl be great. Ted could fall in love with her at first sight, but she doesn't. Since they've introduced her boyfriend, it'll probably be a year of him trying to win her from him.

I said long ago that the show could continue after we meet her. Nearly everyone disagreed but maybe the tide of sentiment is turning. Personally I would like to get some sense of who she is and how she fits in with the gang.

I think Ted is too picky. I met my wife at the Prison where we both worked and within 2 months we were married. Next month we will have been married 19 years. OF course I was 31 and she was 29 when we met and married, so maybe age and growing up has something to do with it. How old is Ted supposed to be now?

So are wea ctually going to see the wedding Monday? The variosu plot synopses I have seen don't mention it.
