I downloaded STB gTools v1.85, which is a channel editor. It edits .gtd filetype. What the pansat saves on the sd card is .bin filetype for the channel list. Is there a way to edit the bin file in a computer. My blasted receiver has a bunch of junk tps on it from the last time I went through and scanned everything about 2 years ago, and I want to go back and fix all of that and update the list, but figured it'd be easier to do in software then in the reciever itself. I remember being able to use gtools somehow, but I don't remember how the heck I got it to work last time, lol.
I need to reset it to minimize the memory use or something since scanning stuff that I know is there is not pulling in new channels. I think the channel list is just too long for the pansat's memory or something, so I got a lot of tweaking to do.
If I'm going about this the wrong way, what software can you use to edit the .bin files?
