How do I know what type of LNB do I need to use?

Hi, I am newbie at FTA, and I am trying to learn it. Although I have read about LNB at other places, I am still confuse about the role of LNB, and how do I know how which one do I need.

This link will take you to amazon.com where they advertise the Dish-Network 1000 dish. By using it, I'll be able to pick up 110, 119, 129, but I am sure I need LNB for those, so which one do I need.

For free to air, that dish you posted is pretty much useless. You need at least a 30" dish (preferably 36") and a KU Band LNB. The D1000 is too small and the LNB's are the wrong kind. You can get a few freebie channels off 119 like Nasa, Angel One & Ion but for most FTA you need the larger dish

The LNB takes the signals from the sky and downconverts them to frequencies we can use.
