How about them Cowboys

IMO it's more than just Romo, yeah he is one of the problems, but he isn't alone. You can add T.O., Pacman, the coach and the owner, they are all part of the problem.

that's true. I can't understand how this is completely romo's fault either. Many times I saw Romo getting no time to throw the ball.He was eating turf most of the time. Qb's need at least a little time to throw the ball. Then you need wr's like T.O. to actually get open and catch it when trown to. They have much bigger problems than Romo.

HMMM....

Wade Phillips as the Defensive Coordinator for the Packers?

He'll be available!

To me that's what he's always been good at. How was he as a head coach at Denver? Poor. At Buffalo? Decent but not great. He's always been solid as a Defensive Cord. This needs to be his last stop as a Head Coach

Jerry Jones already reiterated again after yesterdays game that Wade is still his coach for '09.

Doesn't anyone remember this from Mr. Jerry Jones?

(from Wikipedia)
After the 1993 Super Bowl victory, reports began to surface in the media that Jones had made the statement that "any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls" given the type of talent that Jones had drafted and signed for the team. Jones also stated to reporters at a late night cocktail party that he intended to replace Johnson with former University of Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer. The next morning, however, Jones famously denied those reports by stating that it "was the whiskey talking". Shortly thereafter, Switzer replaced Johnson as the Cowboys head coach.

And sho' nuff, Switzer won the next Super Bowl.

The silver lining: The Lions own the Cowboy's first round pick, which I believe is the 20th. Thank you Jerry Jones.

With the right management in place they could get a QB and a O linemen in the same round .....
Much like Cleveland did with Quinn and Thomas .....

nah they'll take two WR's , neither of which will do anything for them next year....

5 picks in the first 85. Do you have any faith that the Lions will make any good picks?

As long as none of them are wide recievers (BTW, Calvin Johnson is looking like a great choice. He led ALL recievers in TD's, so it's not a complete black hole!).

A good chunk of the fault lays on Romo. Romo has yet to prove that he can win a game of any real significance, and you could argue is mainly responsible for 2 of the last 3 seasons ending for the Cowboys (the inability to place a ball for a kicker and throwing an interception in the end zone.) Also, he was responsible for 3 of the Cowboys 5 turnovers that day, one leading to a TD on the return.

Romo won't be respected until he gets over the playoff hump like Peyton Manning did all those years ago. Given his body of work, he really doesn't deserve the "life" and fame that he has. He's a good looking guy dating a famous model/singer and is seen as a celebrity as much as he is an athlete, yet he's a QB who has never won a playoff game and is 5-8 in December. The QB is the leader of the team, and when the leader is playing bad, odds are the rest of the team is not going to do well either.
