How About a Loaner DVR?

I had a thought that might help a couple of us with strange problems. If Glorystar ever has a DVR return for replacement that has been repaired and can't be sold as new how about making it available as a loaner? The person needing it would make a security deposit and pay shipping both ways. If the loaner solves the problem then an RA and etc. could be negotiated.

I just realized that KUIL Fox isn't necessarily off the air when I can't find it. Yesterday and today I played around with LO tuning and brought it in.

Great idea. It would be nice to provide a loaner while the receiver is in the shop.

We tried this for a while, but like a library book.... people just would not return the loaner. We terminated the loaner program after several difficult interactions with customer disputes over the security, bench fees and shipping fees.

The bench testing program for warranty items covers return shipping and bench fees if the product is faulty due to factory defect. If you wish to receive an advanced exchange, we will sell a new unit and if the returned unit is found to be a warranty defect, the advance exchanged item purchase will be refunded.

That sounds fair, but my fear is that my problems will not be reproducible on the bench and I will be out some bench time. I guess I'll just have to hope for a consistent problem before my warranty runs out, or that you will recall that the problems started in my early ownership of the DVR.
