Hopper Upgrades

Would like to be contacted by a DIRT member to upgrade from a 722 and 221 to a 1h 2j setup. I am in contract for 2 yrs and have the top 200 package. Pay on time and use auto pay. Would like to get the current promo deal to renew two yr agreement. I've been waiting for this setup. Thanks

Could a DIRT member contact me about an upgrade from the 722 and 221 to a hopper/joey setup. I signed up in Dec and have a contract for 2 yrs with the top 200 package and use auto pay. Would like to know what options I have.
 
It's always possible they may have some kind of error but I would ask and see if they will give a decent reason as to why.

You sound just like these dish idiots. Answers for everything that equate to nothing!!! In the end you don't know anymore then anyone else. All people keep saying is ask this and ask that. Ask dirt. I did ask dirt. They said they didn't know. The CEO address got me an email back. I replied with my phone number on Friday. Got a call late in the day but couldn't take it. Some guy named James left me a voice mail I've yet to hear back from that. It's like you can't get answers from anyone. Bottom line here is this was a hideous release and per usual with this company a cluster you know what's stop pretending you have the answers. You know nothing.

Because the account specialist was having computer problems, he probably couldn't see the $400 the system was spitting out. I bet you'll be back to your $400 quote when you call back tomorrow. :(

wow.. way to be optimistic.. He already said they would honor the quoted price he gave me. i didn't copy the rest of the convo before we disconnected. the first person i spoke with was a CSR. She escalated me to Jose whose job was to ensure customer satisfaction. He quoted me 100 to upgrade for 1 hopper and 2 joeys.. Wheres the confusion in that?

i would check that four times, maybe even get it in writing with a DIRT member too. Last thing you want is to be billed $400 and fight it the other direction.

I've tried the chat as well. Some days they are mostly right and other days they are just plain wrong. I've yet to have a perfect experience with the online chat.
 
I would like to upgrade my 922 that has failed me 2 times as I am on the 3rd one now and am worried that it will fail again. I have asked to be upgraded to get away from the 922 that has been discontinued. I feel that I should not have to pay the $100 upgrade fee because of all the trouble I have had and worried about loosing any more recorded programs that I have lost. Would this be possible? I have been a Dish customer for just over a year. Thank you

Pretty much in the same situation. I called dish about my 922 freaking out and recording the same show with both tuners. Got offered a replacement. Asked about an upgrade to the new system and was told I would have to pay full price. Not happy.
 
Looks like he is a Plan C paying $200 for the Hopper and $100 for each Joey. I don't know why you are rated that way but that is the appropriate fee for you.

This post is way out of line. Maybe you have issues with DISH, but everyone who has been on here for a while knows that Sherrman is probably one of the best sources of information on the Hopper and anything else Dish. If you cant be at least civil, it may be better not to post at all.

Sorry to clutter this thread inappropriately, but this post cried out for a reponse.

Hey, I'm just trying to help. No one is ever going to know how Dish determines how a customer is rated. Might as well quit asking and complaining about it. The prices are listed for everyone ahead of time and Dish is sticking to them. If you are not willing to pay the upgrade fees that Dish determined you qualify for then you have the right to stick with what you have or drop Dish completely.

Do not get upset for others on here trying to help you because you feel you are entitled to get the cheapest price there is. It gets real hard putting up with people who always feel they are entitled to everything they want. I'm sorry the price to upgrade wasn't what you were hoping. I can't always afford to get what I really want either. Life isn't fair but it is short so I suggest you except it and move on. There are greater tragedies in the world.

Sorry for my rant but I found your post to be rude and it upset me.
