Hopper only shows 2 tuners

Why my hopper only has 2 tuners available. Ptat on , hopper recording 1 show. Will not let me watch other show. I can only join Joey or watch what's recording. My old hopper had 3 tuners. What did I do wrong. This hopper is 24 hours old. Old one stopped working. After week

If you have PTAT on the one of the tuner is occupied.

This will leave you with two usable turners.

On my old tuner I had ptat on and it still showed I had 3 tuners. Something is not right.

From your description, you are using one tuner for PTAT, one for recording another show that is not a network show, and a Joey watching another tuner. That's it. Simple math.

Simply having PTAT enabled doesn't occupy a tuner. It only takes up the tuner during primetime. Not sure what OP is asking here, but try just joining the Joey or the recording, then simply changing channels. Should do the trick if I understand the problem correctly.

Had not considered he meant not during primetime hours. I guess he will have to tell us more.

It is possibly a bad connection between lnb and node on only one of the cables. with the other cable connected properly you would only get 2 tuners. if not a cable issue between lnb could be bad port on lnb or bad solo node.
